We really enjoyed our time at the Science Fair (Veletrh vědy) held on 4-6 June at PVA Letňany in Prague, the largest popular science event in the Czech Republic. Through interactive demonstrations, visitors explored the mission of CZ-OPENSCREEN and learned how biologically active compounds are discovered and evaluated as potential future medicines. Particular attention was drawn to elements of high-throughput screening (HTS) automation, while hands-on activities allowed even the youngest participants to master basic pipetting techniques. Using one of our liquid dispensers to "print" dyes and create custom pixel art images proved to be one of the most popular attractions, helping us engage visitors of all ages and communicate the excitement of modern drug discovery in an accessible and enjoyable way.
